Tamron 90mm 2.8 Macro

Went into a camera shop in St. Cloud looking for a few small accessories and walked out with a new (used slightly) macro.  Ha, what can I say…  it was a good deal.  Here’s a few I’ve taken trying it out this week.

I used this focus stacking software called CombineZP to get a larger depth of field on some of these.  I thought the results turned out good considering I used  a not very scientific way of calculating the different focus planes while shooting the stack.  In other words I just eye-balled it.  It’s a really cool program though, mostly because someone wrote it and decided to give it away for free for all us nerds!  Check it out…      http://www.hadleyweb.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/CZP/News.htm

Looking forward to getting outdoors and trying to find some little buggies to take some macros of!

DANNGGGG You better take all those other crummy ones down off your Flickr and start putting these up. Can I use that apple stem one on my blog?
