Props to Lightroom 3 Noise Reduction Upgrade

Well I’m happy with the results of the new Lightroom’s noise reduction upgrade.  Figured I’d post some quick test.  Took a slightly overexposed shot at 6400 iso into the corner of my dark-lit living room.  Here’s the original, which the D90 did a reasonable job controlling really for the iso level.

And here’s a version with the noise reduction settings really cranked up about 3/4 full.

And here’s just a couple close up crops of close to the original 1:1 size.

Pretty sweet, now I just need to set aside some time to setup a detailed lens correction profile for my d90/tokina 11-16 combo so I can take advantage of the new automatic lens correction in Lightroom 3.  :)
