Stella Artois Bottle – Artist Oil
After spending the weekend learning a bit about the Painter interface I finally sat down tonight and tried to paint something with a slightly better understanding of how the Artist Oils work. The bottle got a little bent…that’s what I was going for….right!? Fun stuff.
After 9 hours of animating at work and 4 hours of painting tonight I better get to bed!
Hutchinson to Alexandria Time Lapse
A recording of my drive from Hutchinson to Alexandria, averaging about 2000 mph!
Chloe & Butterfly
Here’s my first attempt at trying out Painter 12 on my sweet new Asus Eee Slate! Tried out oil painting using a fine camel hair brush, which I probably implemented wrong. I have a ton to learn about digital painting that’s for sure! Figured I’d call it good on this first painting for now so I can try out some other digital materials and styles. Hope you like it Chloe!
A detailed shot of the butterfly just for fun.
Carl Stromberg’s Motion Graphics
My buddy Carl decided to switch gears and try to get a job in motion graphics at a company in KC. Only problem was he didn’t have any current materials for his portfolio. He quickly put together three short clips in a week. I was on the phone with him one night, and he was saying how it’s hard to develop materials for fake products…etc ( which I also agree! ). Of course I said hey mayajunky.com could use a new logo animation! Well I went to bed and woke up in the morning with a link in my inbox to this!
You can check his blog out at http://carlstromberg.tumblr.com/

Thanks Carl I thought it turned out pretty cool, especially for the time involved!
